Q:

What is a Team?

A:

A team can be any group of friends, co-workers, students, congregation members or families who
pre-register, raise money and walk together.

Q:

What if I don't get sponsors, how much does it cost to walk?

A:

There is no charge to walk, donations are accepted at registration. However, a minimum donation of $25.00 is required to receive a free Walk t-shirt. Please register early to ensure you receive a t-shirt, supplies are limited. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed.

Q: Where will the money go?
A: Funds raised from the Walk For Those Who Can't will go directly to Carolina Canines for Service, Inc. CCFS is a non-profit corporation providing specially trained dogs for people with disabilites.

Q: Are donations tax-deductible?
A: All contributions are tax-deductible. Carolina Canines is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Q: If I am pre-registered, do I still need to sign-in?
A: Yes. All individual walkers and team captains must sign-in to receive their Walk t-shirts and dog bandanas.

Q: What happens if it rains?
A: The walk will be held Rain or Shine!

Q: May I bring my dog?
A: Pets are welcome. All pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet, current on all vaccinations and under control of walker at all times. Water will be provided for both you and your dog along the course. Bandanas will be provided for dogs walking with registered walkers.

May Children Walk?

A:

We welcome people of all ages to participate in the Walk. If you are under 18 years of age you must either be accompanied by a parent or guardian or you must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. This waiver can be found on your registration form.

Q: What is "The Loop"?
A: "The Loop” at Wrightsville Beach is a circular scenic 2.45-mile path around the public park and scenic marshes and through the town of Wrightsville Beach. Click here for map of "The Loop"
